INDIANAPOLIS — A body was found Friday morning at Eagle Creek reservoir as the search continued for a man who fell overboard and did not resurface Wednesday afternoon.
The Pike Township Fire Department found a body during a surface search around 6:15 a.m. Friday morning.
The body has not been identified.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Pike Township Fire Department said a man fell out of a paddle boat during strong winds from an approaching storm.
Nearby boaters assisted a woman from the water that was also on the paddle boat and safely rescued her.
Fire officials said the man and woman were issued life jackets during the rental of the paddle boat but were not wearing them at the time.
Department of Natural Resources officers have led a search at Eagle Creek reservoir using divers and sonar devices.
