A mysterious clown who spooked some residents in a
Fishers
neighborhood has 'fessed up.

Fishers Police Sgt. Tom Weger says police have identified the person who was spotted walking through the Saxony subdivision in a creep clown costume.

"This person fully cooperated with officers and provided a full explanation for their actions," Sgt. Weger said. "After speaking with officers it was determined this person had not committed any crime and never had any criminal intent. This person conveyed to officers that they never intended to cause concern and their only intent was to celebrate their favorite time of year, Halloween."

Police say because no crime was committed, and because they've determined the person poses no threat to the community, their identity will not be released.

Last week, Kelly Ferris showed us where she got her first glimpse of the clown. One of her neighbors sent a photo to a local radio station.

The clown simply showed up in Kelly's
Fishers
subdivision and made a few repeat visits.

"He was just walking in the street about seven o'clock, a quarter 'til, and that was just it. He was just walking around with a balloon on a stick," she said.

In addition to walking down the street, the so-called creepy clown comes and goes in Zimmer Park, located in the middle of the development.

The clown has done nothing and said nothing, but is something to see, according to Kelly and her neighbors. In fact, the mysterious sightings have struck a chord of fear in some families.

"If I was them and I was definitely scared, I would watch out in between the times that he has been here and call the police if they needed to. I think the homeowners in here are a little cautious. It could get out of hand. So far he's been harmless but you never know," said Ferris.

Saxony is already a Neighborhood Watch area. People in this area are urged to call 911 to report suspicious activity.

"It's been a few times now since he has been in here. The homeowners are concerned so, yeah, I probably would call somebody, call police," said Ferris.
