INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Saturday's heavy rain brought more flooding to central Indiana as swollen rivers and streams spilled onto roads.
The National Weather Service had recorded 3.22 inches of rainfall at Indianapolis International Airport from Friday into Saturday afternoon.
Other areas had experience more than four inches of rainfall.
The White River in Noblesville was rising into the Riverwood neighborhood late Saturday morning.
Hamilton County road crews were moving barricades and closing roads as waters rose.
State roads in Vanderburgh, Perry and Dubois counties in southern Indiana were closed into Saturday afternoon.
In northern Indiana, a stretch of U.S. 6 in Porter County was closed by high water.
All major rivers in central Indiana are expected to be at or above flood stage into next week.
