'Run for the Fallen' remembers Hoosier military members

During every mile of the run, the group stopped to recognize fallen service members, including their date of death and branch of service.

INDIANAPOLIS — Sunday afternoon, 20 runners arrived in downtown Indianapolis after a three-day, 150-mile journey from Fort Wayne.

Indiana's 10th annual "Run for the Fallen" paid tribute to Hoosier military members who died while serving or as a result of serving.

During every mile of the run, the group stopped to recognize fallen service members, including their date of death and branch of service. Family members and friends waited at their designated marker to meet the runners.

The run wrapped up May 12 at Veterans Memorial Plaza in Indianapolis.

Additional runs are currently planned across the country, including a run in Kentucky later this year in September.
