INDIANAPOLIS — Each year Riley Hospital's Giving Campaign highlights the amazing care they provide to families in our area, and how your donations make that possible.
For the next several weeks 13News is proud to be part of it by sharing stories of the families that depend on Riley.
Jalea Brooks introduces you to Ashae Villafana. She lives with sickle cell disease but is determined not to let that stop her. She's an honor roll student who loves to make TikTok videos. Ashae admits the pain from her illness sometimes gets in the way, but she's learning how to manage her lifelong disease. You can see her story in the media player above.
All individual donations will be matched by the Indianapolis Colts up to $150,000 toward areas of greatest need at Riley Children’s Health.
That means your dollars will go twice as far for Riley Kids and families this holiday season.
The campaign runs until Dec. 31.
