INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — We're getting our first look today inside the new Riverside High School.
The school had been operating out of Marian College for the last year.
However, they moved into their new location at the former Heslar Naval Armory just a few weeks ago.
Riverside is Herron High School's second campus.
It's a public, classical liberal arts and sciences college prep high school.
School leaders said the new location will play a vital role in their students' education.
"Being able to be in Heslar Naval Armory is so important for our students because they are learning about history, developing their own leadership skills, as they are surrounded by this place that already has its own really important history and story to tell," Riverside High School, Head of School Katie Dorsey, said.
Three hundred freshmen and sophomores currently attend the school.
They expect to have 600 total students attending in the next two years.
