SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WTHR) - Thousands of people got a chance to mingle with racing legends and celebrity chefs at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Saturday night.
Rev Indy helped kick-off the greatest month in racing.
The Methodist Foundation uses money raised to get people the medical care they need.
"We provide the care here not just for the drivers, but the fans as well. It's one of the busiest ER's in the country on race day,” explained Sally McGuffey of the foundation. “So on top of that, this event also provides a lot of support for statewide trauma programs. So the Lifeline helicopters you see, the Lifeline ambulances, that's also helped out by this event.”
There were about 3,000 guests at the track this evening, including our own Anne Marie Tiernon and Dave Calabro who served as the emcees.
