2024 Rev concludes with great fun, great food, great entertainment for a great cause

The annual event benefits IU Health patients. Funds raised through the event go toward trauma and critical care programs and mental health services across the state.

INDIANAPOLIS — The annual Rev event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is Saturday, May 4.

The event benefits IU Health patients. Funds raised through the event go toward trauma and critical care programs and mental health services across the state. That includes the care provided to drivers at the IU Health Emergency Medical Center located at IMS.

IndyCar driver and team owner Ed Carpenter and his wife, Heather, have been selected to chair this year's Rev event, alongside Visit Indy's Chris Gahl.

On May 1, INDYCAR and IU Health announced the addition of sports neurologist Bert Vargas, MD to the INDYCAR Medical Team.

Vargas is the first neurologist dedicated to the INDYCAR Medical team, and his position is funded by proceeds from Rev.

Nineteen acts were announced as the entertainers for this year's event. Click here for more information on each act.

This year's event will bring together more than 85 of Indy's top chefs and restaurants for an evening of fine tastings. Click here for details on the chefs and restaurants.

Rev, presented by Fifth Third Bank, announced its celebrity chef is Chef Beau MacMillan, a Food Network regular and winner of "Iron Chef America."

MacMillan, a two-time James Beard Foundation Award nominee, has also appeared on Food Network shows "Guy's Grocery Games," "Best Thing I Ever Ate" and "Cooks vs. Cons," as well as NBC's "TODAY" show.

He now oversees culinary vision at the restaurant CALA in Scottsdale, Arizona.

"I am honored to serve as this year’s Rev Celebrity Chef and join the best local chefs Indianapolis has to offer, all for a special cause," MacMillan said. "I’ve been told Rev is the perfect kickoff for May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and I can’t wait to see it all for the first time."

As Rev's official celebrity chef, MacMillan will create a special driver-inspired dish for the event.

In addition to helping bring MacMillan to Rev, Good Ranchers is joining Rev for a wider community initiative to donate to the Indiana University Health Nutrition Hub at Methodist Hospital, which works to bridge the food gap for local patients experiencing food insecurity.

13News will be well-represented at Rev 2024.
