NAGUABO, Puerto Rico — Police in Puerto Rico say that they have located a body while searching for missing Indiana teacher Amanda Webster.
In a Facebook post made Saturday, Oct. 14, Puerto Rican police said that a body that "could be that of a woman" was found in a river in the Rio Blanco neighborhood, which is where rescuers had been searching for Webster.
Webster, an art teacher at Franklin Township schools, had been missing since Oct. 11 after the landlord of the home where she was staying alerted police to her disappearance after finding her bags and rental car at the home after she was supposed to have left.
Puerto Rico police say they are working to confirm the gender and identity of the body and will update the public upon confirmation.
This is a breaking story and will be updated as more information is released.
