INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – Saturday afternoon, protesters gathered at the intersection of 62nd Street and Michigan Road, where Dreasjon Reed was shot and killed in Wednesday’s police action shooting.
About a hundred people were seen gathered at that intersection around 2 p.m.
IMPD says 41-year-old Robert Bently of Indianapolis was arrested in the area of that protest for Obstruction of Traffic and Disorderly Conduct.
"During the arrest IMPD officers were forced to use pepper ball deployment to deter a crowd as they closed in on officers creating an unsafe environment for officers and protesters," IMPD said in a release.
No officers or protesters were injured during this arrest.
Bently was taken to the Marion County Jail for processing.
