A former inmate at the state's juvenile prison for girls is suing the facility claiming that it didn't do enough to protect her from being sexually abused.
Investigators say former counselor Kody Hale assaulted three inmates at the Madison Juvenile Correctional Facility in southern Indiana.
One of the women who claims he assaulted her says other people complained about Hale before the attack and the state should have taken steps to prevent her abuse.
Hale is now awaiting trial.
