INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Indiana State Police has issued a Silver Alert for a missing 8-month-old.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department initially asked for the public's help in finding Amiah Robertson early Tuesday morning.

According to the infant's mother, she was last seen on the city's west side in the 200 block of South Holmes Avenue on Thursday, March 14. State police says Amiah was last seen Saturday, March 16.

Amiah is a white female with blond hair and blue eyes. She weighs about 13 pounds. She is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.

The mother told Eyewitness News Crime Beat Reporter Steve Jefferson that her boyfriend was supposed to drop Amiah off at a babysitter's home in the 200 block of Holmes Avenue. According to the mother, the boyfriend was "a little upset with her for getting back together with the baby's father."

On Tuesday, police determined the child to be in possible danger and a Silver Alert was issued asking for the public's help.

Detectives then when to the home on South Holmes Avenue, where the baby was last seen, and using a search warrant began interviewing possible witnesses. Investigators were also on hand to collect potential evidence. Detectives say they have been given conflicting stories throughout the investigation.

Steve Jefferson is reporting from the home where detectives and crime lab units are investigating.

Details of her disappearance are still under investigation. Anyone with information should contact IMPD at 317-327-6540.
