Plainfield - Police say the person who wrote a mysterious letter suggesting the death of a Plainfield man was not an accident did not actually have any real information about the case.

A dive team found the body of Harold "Brad" Hensley inside a Jeep at the bottom of a retention pond in Plainfield last month. Detectives ruled his death an accident but reopened the investigation after getting the letter.

Now police say the letter was written by an elderly Indianapolis woman who has written similar letters in the past. They say she was lonely and did not write the letter out of malice. She will not be charged.

Hensley was missing for two years before officers found his body. Police think he accidentally drove into the pond while leaving for work, but are still waiting on autopsy results.
