ARCADIA, Ind. (WTHR) - A 39-year-old Elwood man was killed in a crash in Hamilton County Friday afternoon.
Police say William Morris was traveling east on 266th Street at Rulon Road around 3 p.m. when his vehicle was struck by a pick-up truck traveling south on Rulon Road. Investigators believe the pick-up driver's foot may have slipped from the brake to the accelerator, causing him to run through a stop sign and strike Morris' car.
Morris suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pick-up, 72-year-old Daniel Jessop Jr. of Arcadia, and passengers in both vehicles were treated for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
