INDIANAPOLIS — A pedestrian was struck and killed Wednesday evening on Indianapolis' west side.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. Aug. 14 in the 8000 block of West Washington Street, which is just west of Girls School Road.
Few details were immediately available, but an IMPD spokesman confirmed that a person died after being struck by a vehicle.
On Thursday, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified the person as 54-year-old Trampest Lamar Richie.
The police spokesperson said the person driving the car was cooperating with investigators.
