INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating a fatal accident on the east side of Indianapolis.
Officers responded to the crash at East 12th Street and North Arlington Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday.
According to an IMPD spokesperson, a motorcyclist was killed in the crash.
Investigators believe the adult male motorcyclist was traveling south on North Arlington Avenue at a high rate of speed when the motorcycle struck a Dodge Durango that was turning west onto East 12th Street from North Arlington Avenue.
On Wednesday morning, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified the person killed as 39-year-old Hollie Berry III.
Police say the driver of the Durango remained on the scene. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, according to investigators.
