INDIANAPOLIS — An investigation is underway after a crash on Interstate 70 east of downtown Indianapolis turned deadly.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. Oct. 11 in the eastbound lanes of the interstate.
Police haven't shared details about the crash, but an alert from the Indiana Department of Transportation said the collision, which involved a motorcycle, was "a confirmed fatality."
The Marion County Coroner's Office later identified the victim as 22-year-old Clarence Thomas Brooks.
Traffic in all eastbound lanes was initially stopped, but the backed up traffic used the left shoulder to get past the crash scene.
