Police apprehended possible shooting suspects just minutes after the crime was committed Wednesday.
A person was shot in the area of Brookside Park around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday after an apparent carjacking. Officers arrived on the scene and saw a gold vehicle with two people inside leaving the area. Once police got behind the vehicle, the driver fled.
After a short pursuit, the driver crashed near Brookside Parkway and Rural Street, and ran away on foot.
The pair, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old, was apprehended after a short foot chase.
The suspect who was shot was treated at the hospital for a gunshot wound to the hip. He is in stable condition, and officers served a warrant against him out of Delaware County for theft.
