INDIANAPOLIS — A 20-year-old man and a juvenile were arrested for their alleged roles in a shooting at a Whitestown apartment complex Sunday night.
Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department (WMPD) officers were dispatched to the Meadows on Main apartment complex, near South County Road 650 East, on reports of shots fired Sunday, Sept. 29 around 6 p.m.
Boone County dispatchers told officers heading to the area that witnesses saw multiple people running after shots were fired, with two of them being males in hooded sweatshirts.
Upon arriving on scene, police found two males matching the description, along with a gun near them.
The two were detained shortly after, and authorities started their investigation.
After multiple interviews, WMPD determined a "verbal altercation" in the apartment complex led to the two males pulling out guns and firing at the victim's apartment complex.
WMPD was also able to find the second gun used in this incident at one of the suspect’s apartments in the complex.
One of the suspects, a 20-year-old man from Whitestown, was arrested. He is currently being held at the Boone County Jail on preliminary charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and pointing a firearm.

The second suspect, a juvenile, was also arrested and taken to the Delaware County Juvenile Detention Center, where he is being held on preliminary charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and pointing a firearm.
The Boone County Sheriff's Office and the Zionsville Police Department helped with the investigation.
