INDIANAPOLIS — A Pike High School student was arrested Thursday morning after administration found a handgun in the student's backpack.
An MSD of Pike Township official said the gun was discovered in the student's bookbag during an "unrelated investigation" Nov. 21.
Pike Township Schools police was notified by the school and retrieved the weapon before taking the student into custody.
No threats were made during the incident, according to the district.
