SULPHUR SPRINGS, Ind. — One person was taken to the hospital after a pickup truck crashed fully into a building in Henry County Thursday evening.
The crash was reported around 5:30 p.m. May 16 near Main and Meridian streets in the town of Sulphur Springs, around eight miles northwest of New Castle.
According to the Jefferson Township Volunteer Fire Department, civilians removed the driver before first responders arrived, and the driver was taken to a local hospital.
Information on the driver's condition and what may have caused the crash has not been released.
"Unfortunately due to the damage to the building and the structural stability, the decision was made to push the building into itself to prevent further collapse," the department said in a social media post, which showed the truck fully inside the building.
