INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - It was a special morning at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital as hospital officials dedicated the expansion of their Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
The $2.2 million dollar renovations took it from a 15 bed unit to a highly specialized unit with 23 private beds.
The expansion was all made possible thanks to gifts from Peyton and Ashley Manning and the money raised at the hospital's 11th annual Celebration of Caring Gala which took place last month.
It's the largest unit expansion since adopting Peyton Manning's name in 2007.
