INDIANAPOLIS — A person was hit by a truck near Harding Street and Hanna Avenue just after midnight Thursday and died at the scene.
Authorities have not identified the victim.
Preliminary information from investigators show the person was crossing the street away from an intersection when they were struck by a semi-tractor trailer heading southbound.
The intersection of Harding and Hanna is regulated by a stop light.
The truck driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
No alcohol impairment is suspected at this time.
