The Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office said a car traveling north on Old State Road 25 North crossed over the center line and southbound lane before traveling off the road and hitting a tree in a wooded area.
The driver, who was the only person in the car, died from their injuries in the crash.
The sheriff's office said alcohol and drugs are not suspected to have been involved in the incident, and a preliminary investigation indicated the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
