INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a person was shot and killed on the city's east side Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the the 1500 block of North Sheridan Avenue, near East 16th Street and North Arlington Avenue, just after 4:30 a.m. on reports of shots fired.
When police arrived, they located an adult woman with at least one gunshot wound. The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
Police provided an update just before 6 a.m. and said the person died from their injuries shortly after arriving to the hospital.
