WESTFIELD, Ind. — The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a driver struck and killed a pedestrian Saturday night.
Deputies responded to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian in the 18900 block of Eagletown Road, northwest of Westfield, around 8:20 p.m. on Oct. 19.
Investigators say a driver in an SUV was traveling north on Eagletown Road when they struck a male pedestrian, later identified as Michael Kaforke, of Westfield, who was reportedly walking northbound in the roadway.
Kaforke was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation, police told 13News Thursday evening.
