INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD detectives are conducting a homicide investigation after a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Indianapolis' near southeast side late Thursday.
Around 11:45 p.m. Oct. 19, officers responded to the crash in the 1700 block of East Pleasant Run Parkway North Drive, near South State Avenue. Officers found a man with traumatic injuries who was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Oct. 20, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified the man as 32-year-old Tommy Brock Jr.
The driver of the car that hit the man ran from the scene before officers arrived.
IMPD said a homicide investigation was underway regarding the incident, but have not shared any additional information on the circumstances.

It was the second deadly crash investigated by IMPD in a span of about a half-hour Thursday. Police said a pedestrian was killed in a crash in the 8000 block of Rockville Road, near Country Club Road, around 11:15 p.m.
Both crashes remain under investigation.
