INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and critically injured Thursday evening.
It happened around 7 p.m. Oct. 23 on South Meridian Street, near Stop 11 Road on the far south side of Indianapolis.
Police said the victim, an adult male, was in critical condition when an ambulance transported him to an Indianapolis hospital.
The driver of the vehicle is providing a blood sample for analysis, but police said impairment is not an apparent factor in the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.
