BROWNSBURG, Ind. (WTHR) - Police in Brownsburg are investigating a shooting that left one person wounded Friday evening.
Officers responded to the shooting on Locust Lane at 6:55 p.m.
The victim, Darren Strange, was taken to the hospital in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the arm.
The suspect was observed leaving the scene on Tilden Road and was stopped within minutes by Pittsboro Police officers. The driver, Bryan Bastin, was taken into custody as the suspected shooter.
Investigators believe the victim and suspect know one another.
A witness told investigators they believe the event was instigated by a verbal altercation between the suspect and the victim.
Bastin has been booked at the Hendricks County Jail and is charged for attempted murder.
This case is still under investigation. No further charges are expected at this time.
