'She represents us so well' | Brownsburg's Chloé Dygert honored with hometown ceremony

Dygert won a gold medal in the 4,000-meter team pursuit, a silver medal in the road race and a bronze medal in the time trial at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Olympic gold medalist Chloé Dygert returned to Brownsburg in November 2024 to accept a proclamation.

BROWNSBURG, Ind. — Brownsburg’s Chloé Dygert, a member of the U.S. women's cycling team, was honored in a hometown ceremony. 

Brownsburg Town Council President Travis Tschaenn issued a proclamation honoring Dygert on Sept. 12. She returned to Brownsburg in November to accept the honor.

Dygert won a gold medal in the 4,000-meter team pursuit, a silver medal in the road race and a bronze medal in the time trial at the 2024 Paris Olympics. 

"Chloé Dygert has represented our town, state, and country with remarkable talent, determination, and perseverance, exemplifying the highest standards of athletic excellence in the 2024 Olympic Games," Tschaenn said.

The Town of Brownsburg said the proclamation declared Dygert as "Brownsburg's Olympian" and celebrated all of her achievements.

"Chloé Dygert is an inspiration to young athletes in Brownsburg, embodying the values of hard work, resilience, and integrity," Tschaenn said. "We wish her well in her future races."

Dygert has a total of 14 world medals (12 of them gold) and four Olympic medals.

"We are very proud that she calls Brownsburg her hometown and that she represents us so well," Tschaenn said.
