INDIANAPOLIS — A pair of Olympic gold medalists joined Eli Lilly employees for a little team building.
Gymnast Simone Biles and track and field champion Gabby Thomas surprised the workers at the company-only event Thursday, Aug. 29.
Both athletes are Lilly partners. Thomas is focused on eliminating health inequities, while Biles is focused on mental health awareness and treatments for Type 2 diabetes.
Biles and her mother, Nellie, are featured in Lilly's advertisements for the company's drug, Mounjaro.
The Olympians are making the most of their time in Indianapolis. Wednesday night, they were in attendance as the Indiana Fever defeated the Connecticut Sun at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Biles will be back in the Circle City in October, headlining the "Gold Over America Tour." The gymnastics performance is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
