NWS: Two tornadoes confirmed among Tuesday's Indiana storms

The National Weather Service says there were two tornadoes among the storms that rolled across Indiana on Tuesday.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – The National Weather Service says there were two tornadoes among the storms that rolled across Indiana on Tuesday.

On Thursday, the NWS confirmed an EF0 tornado hit 2 miles southwest of Buck Creek in Tippecanoe County, and and EF0 tornado was detected 4 miles ENE of Covington in Fountain County.

In their report, NWS said damage in Fountain County was limited to “a few large tree branches… downed and a large trash dumpster blown over.”

In the Tippecanoe County storm, skylights in a barn were reported damaged, an outbuilding roof collapsed and trees and power poles were downed.

There were no injuries reported.
