Northwest Indy water main break causes 'widespread' low pressure

Citizens Energy Group says crews are working on repairs and hope to have the issue fixed by Wednesday afternoon.

INDIANAPOLIS — Citizens Energy Group says a water main break on the northwest side of Indianapolis is causing "widespread" low pressure.

According to a June 26 news release, crews are repairing a water main near 59th Street and Georgetown Road. Citizens Energy says customers in that area may experience low or no water pressure as a result of the break.

Citizens says the Woods of Eagle Creek Apartments Complex, Oakbrook Village Apartments Complex and Villas of Oakbrook Condominium Complex are included in that area. Citizens also says customers do not need to take any special action such as boiling water.

Crews are expected to have water pressure and service restored later in the afternoon. Updates will be posted on Citizens' social media accounts.
