NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — A family of five and their cat are displaced after a fire at a Noblesville home Monday evening.
The fire was reported around 5 p.m. Oct. 28 in the 19000 block of Chip Shot Road, near Hague Road and East 196th Street.
Video shared by the Noblesville Fire Department showed heavy fire and smoke coming from a two-story home as crews arrived.
The resident who reported the fire was able to evacuate without injury, a department spokesperson said, and one cat was rescued.
Crews brought the fire under control quickly, and no injuries were reported, the spokesperson said.
Shortly after 5 pm, NFD responded to a working residence fire on the 19000 block of Chip Shot Rd. A resident saw smoke and called 911. Crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control. There were no injuries to civilians, firefighters, or pets. NFD was assisted by Noblesville Police Department. The resident of this event saw the smoke before their smoke detectors activated we would like to remind everyone the importance of working smoke detectors.
