A strange octopus is garnering attention in the scientific community.
A probe of the U.S. Office of Ocean Exploration and Research filmed the pure-white octopus at a depth of almost 14,000 feet off the coast of Hawaii.
Scientists dubbed it the "ghost octopus" for its lack of skin pigment.
The octopus also lacks one row of suction pads, leading the team to say it's almost certainly a new species.
