INDIANAPOLIS — On Monday, you'll have the chance to visit a new exhibit near downtown Indianapolis honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy.
It's called the Kennedy King Exhibit. The Kennedy King Memorial Initiative has been working on the project for over two decades.
The exhibit not only shares the history of King and African American history in Indianapolis, but also the role Robert F. Kennedy played in sharing the news to Indianapolis residents that King had been assassinated.
Kennedy gave the speech right where MLK Park is today.
The exhibit will be at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, just north of downtown Indianapolis near East 21st Street and North Park Avenue.
It will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on MLK Day.
