INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The recreational vehicle used by former Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels became a museum piece after Daniels left office and became president of Purdue University.
But on Sunday, Daniels tweeted a picture in front of the RV with the words, "Best birthday surprise ever."
Daniels' post continued, "The family and the 04/08 campaign crew borrowed RV One from the state museum for the day. What memories. That vehicle and I saw every corner of Indiana over and over.
He turned 70 April 7.
Daniels donated "RV One" to the Indiana State Museum, but when he turned over the keys in 2012, it went on display at the RV Hall of Fame in Elkhart, according to WNDU.
