MUNCIE, Ind. (WTHR) - The state emergency manager who took over control of the Muncie Community Schools is selling some of the district's properties.
This comes after the financially struggling district decided to close three elementary schools this past spring. Now they're all on the market, along with a middle school, a community center and a vacant lot.
Other higher learning facilities will have the first chance to make an offer, then it will be open to everyone. The district is trying to cut costs and raise money.
Next year, they're facing a $15 million shortfall.
