INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Mozel Sanders Foundation is kicking off its annual fundraising campaign to help provide thousands of meals to the less fortunate.
The campaign is in its 48th year and there are a number of ways you can lend your support.
"Mozel always said, 'Don't look down on the man unless you're trying to pick him up'," said Stephanie Sanders, president and CEO of the Mozel Sanders Foundation. "I say if everyone would feed one, everyone would be fed, and my son says a healthy mind begins with a full stomach, so it's very important."
The foundation will host the Radio One Annual Radio-thon at the Castleton, Circle Centre and Lafayette Square malls November 9-10. Donations can be made in person or over the phone.
The Mozel Sanders Foundation gala will be held Saturday, November 3 and a Gospel Sing will be held at Universal Ministries Worldwide at 1927 E. 32nd Street at 7 p.m. on November 16 and 17.
Proceeds raised at those events will be donated to the Mozel Sanders Foundation.
