20-year-old motorcyclist killed in southeast Indianapolis crash

The motorcyclist reportedly collided with a vehicle in the 8600 block of Southeastern Avenue, near South Franklin Road, late Monday night.

INDIANAPOLIS — A 20-year-old motorcyclist died after a crash on the southeast side of Indianapolis late Monday night.

According to an IMPD spokesperson, the motorcycle collided with a vehicle in the 8600 block of Southeastern Avenue, near South Franklin Road. The crash happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. May 27.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in critical condition but died a short time later. The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the deceased as 20-year-old Gregory Elijah Parks.

Police said the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. 

Southeastern Avenue in the area has since reopened fully to traffic.
