BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Monroe County sheriff's deputies are investigating after a 5-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a pool Saturday evening.
Around 7:15 p.m. July 13, deputies responded to the 3100 block of South Leonard Springs Road, near the Tapp Road exit from I-69 in Bloomington.
Deputies arrived as firefighters and medics were performing CPR on the child.
He was taken to IU Bloomington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives interviewed witnesses at the scene and preliminarily do not believe there was a crime, but the investigation is ongoing.
