INDIANAPOLIS — Fans of the world's most popular board game will soon have a "Chance" to "Get Out of Jail" in a new Indianapolis escape room.

Breakout Games is launching a MONOPOLY-themed escape room at their Castleton location on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

As one might expect, the game starts with participants locked in jail, challenged to escape before the one-hour timer runs out. Guests will work to decode puzzles and find clues in an attempt to get a coveted "Get Out of Jail Free" card from the iconic Mr. Monopoly himself.

"We have merged the success-chasing gameplay of MONOPOLY with the excitement of an escape room, creating an experience that's both fun and mentally engaging," said Breakout Games co-founder Bryce Anderson. We can't wait for our players to roll the dice, take a chance, and immerse themselves in this unique and unforgettable adventure.”

According to the Breakout Games website, up to eight players can participate in the MONOPOLY game.

The MONOPOLY-themed game is the second collaboration with Hasbro for Breakout Games. The companies combined to create "CLUE: The Escape Room" in 2020. That escape room is also currently available for play at the Indianapolis location.

"Our ongoing work with Breakout Games reflects a keen understanding of what our fans want, along with the innovation needed to surpass expectations of what a board game brand can be," said Matt Proulx, Vice President, Global Experiences, Partnership and Music at Hasbro. "This MONOPOLY-themed escape room is bound to deliver an unparalleled experience, blending the nostalgia of our classic board game with the thrill of real-world challenges."

In addition to the Hasbro-inspired escape rooms, Breakout Games features eight other rooms.
