MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana State Police detectives are investigating the death of an inmate at the Miami Correctional Facility early Tuesday morning.
Detectives from the ISP Criminal Investigations Division at the Peru Post responded to the jail in Bunker Hill shortly before 2 a.m. May 28.
ISP confirmed 23-year-old David R. Eggert died, and the Miami County Coroner's Office will determine his manner and cause of death.
Bunker Hill is approximately 75 miles north of downtown Indianapolis.
