The Martinsville school district confirms they received a threat over social media against Martinsville High School.

Administrators said in a post on their website, though, they did not consider the threat credible. It was posted Saturday night, and has since been removed.

"The threat included Martinsville HS along with 10 other schools across Indiana. We are working with local law enforcement to ensure everyone’s safety. In the meantime, we ask our parents and students to not discuss this on any social media sites since this could lead to more attention directed at Martinsville HS. We will be even more vigilant during the next few days and, as always, keep your children’s safety as our top priority. If it takes you longer to drop off or pick up your students or get buzzed into our buildings, we hope you are patient and understanding."
