Marion man killed in single-car crash in Grant County

The crash was reported around 1:45 p.m. Saturday in the 3400 block of County Road 300 West, near County Road 350 North and roughly six miles northwest of Marion.

GRANT COUNTY, Ind. — A Marion man was killed in a single-car crash in rural Grant County Saturday afternoon.

The crash was reported around 1:45 p.m. June 1 in the 3400 block of County Road 300 West, near County Road 350 North and roughly six miles northwest of Marion. 

A Chevrolet SUV was found in a field off the road on its top, and the driver was found "some distance from the vehicle where he had been ejected," the Grant County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

The driver, identified by police as 58-year-old Christopher Paul Hisey, of Marion, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff's office fatality accident team is investigating the crash, and anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Lt. Jared Rice at 765-662-9836.
