INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – Indianapolis Metro Police and the Marion County Sheriff's Office are investigating after a jail inmate was found unresponsive.
Authorities say Marion County Jail 2 inmate Brandon Thompson, 29, became unresponsive Sunday morning.
After receiving treatment from medical staff and Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services, Thompson was pronounced dead at 11:12 a.m.
Thompson has been in custody since October 17, 2019 on charges of Possession of Narcotics, Theft, and Possession of Marijuana, according to authorities.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
