Marion County Fair opens with changes due to COVID-19

Despite the Indiana State Fair being canceled due to COVID-19, the Marion County Fair was still on Saturday.

INDIANAPOLIS — The 90th annual Marion County Fair opened up Saturday, but with slight changes to help protect against COVID-19.

Guests are required to bring a face mask in order to enter the fairgrounds. Free masks are available for guests who need them.

Hand washing stations and sanitizers are set up throughout the grounds. Workers are also wiping down and disinfecting rides after use.

“People are just so thrilled to find an opportunity to get out of the house to enjoy the sunshine with their family and they’re doing it in a safe and responsible way,” said Fair Director Paul Annee.

The Marion County Fair runs through July 19

General Admission to the grounds at 7300 E. Troy Avenue is $5 per person; with children 5 and under admitted free.
