The victim was taken to Riverview Health in critical condition, where he later died.

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — A man is dead after being pulled from a retention pond in Noblesville Friday afternoon.

Noblesville police and firefighters were called to the area of Hague Road and Windwood Parkway around 4 p.m. after receiving a 911 call about a person in a retention pond. The caller told dispatchers a middle-aged man was seen standing on top of the water fountain in the middle of the pond. The man, later identified as 35-year-old Zachery Polson, then reportedly jumped back into the water and didn't resurface.
