Firefighters pull man from Noblesville retention pond

The victim was taken to Riverview Health in critical condition.

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — A man is in critical condition after a water rescue in Noblesville Friday afternoon.

Noblesville police and firefighters were called to the area of Hague Road and Windwood Parkway around 4 p.m. after receiving a 911 call about a person in a retention pond. The caller told dispatchers a middle-aged man was seen standing on top of the water fountain in the middle of the pond. The man then reportedly jumped back into the water and didn't resurface.

A diver from the Noblesville Fire Department found the man underwater near where he was last seen. 

First responders administered life-saving care before the man was taken to Riverview Health in Noblesville.
