LAWRENCE, Ind. — Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed Saturday night in an apartment complex in Lawrence.
Police were called just before 9 p.m. to a report of shots fired at an apartment in the 7100 block of McIntosh Lane, near East 56th Street and I-465.
Officers arrived to find a man in an apartment who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene by members of the Lawrence Fire Department.
Investigators say they have a person of interest in custody.
According to Lawrence police, this was an isolated incident involving people who knew each other. Everyone involved in the incident remained at the scene and they are being interviewed by detectives.
Police have not identified the man who died or the person who was taken into custody.
