INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a man was found dead after being struck by a train near downtown Indianapolis early Friday.
According to a public police report, officers responded to the 1100 block of East Maryland Street, just east of downtown Indianapolis near Southeastern Avenue and East Washington Street, shortly after midnight May 3.
An IMPD spokesperson confirmed to 13News that the department was conducting a death investigation.
Friday morning, the Marion County Coroner's Office said Jeffrey Brooks Devault, 52, had been struck by a train.
Additional information on the circumstances of the incident has not been shared by police.
